Fans could not believe that Nicki Minaj’s retirement is actually happening in reality. Nicki Minaj, 36, posted a tweet on September 5, 2019, stating that she is retiring from the world of music to focus on starting her family with her long-term boyfriend Kenneth Petty.

The couple has not been married officially but they will be getting married soon. Meanwhile, on social platforms Nicki refers to her boyfriend Kenneth Petty, 41, as ‘husband’. The rapper also changed her username to “Mrs. Petty” on twitter.
After the tweet, the fans flooded Twitter with tweets about how heartbroken they were from the sudden news.
Nicki later posted a tweet apologizing from fans for the sudden announcement.
She wrote, “I’m still right here. Still madly in love with you guys & you know that. In hindsight, this should’ve been a Queen Radio discussion & it will be. I promise u guys will be happy. No guests, just us talking about everything. The tweet was abrupt & insensitive, I apologize babe.”
Fans cannot wrap their heads around their queen leaving the music world.
